Invitation from the University of Galway Ireland to present a Bloody Sunday and Human Rights Lecture involving students in a reenactment of a portion of the Bloody Sunday Inquiry evidence involving Soldier F.
Invitation from Bangor Law School, Wales in 2014 to present Human Rights Lecture on Legal Processes in NI with a Q&A thereafter.
Invitation from The Irish Cultural Centre in Paris, France in 2015 to be interviewed and take part in a symposium with academics, lawyers and members of the military on Human Rights Law and legal representation at Inquiries and Inquests.
Invitation to attend the Silk Book Festival in Norway in 2015 to jointly provide a talk with Eva Gabrielson, writer and architect (partner of Stieg Larsson, author of the Millennium trilogy) on Human Rights experiences and with Mark Billingham, Best Selling Crime author and Hamid Ismailov, Writer and BBC Journalist on writing and experiences living in a conflict area.
Peace and Conflict Studies Program, Swarthmore College, PA, October 2017 - invited to speak to Faculty and students of Swarthmore College’s Peace and Conflict Studies program on my experiences in Northern Ireland, and in particular Bloody Sunday; examining the themes of “Truth, Justice and Accountability” in international legal inquiry processes resulting from conflict.
Invitation in 2017 to give a lecture to American students from Cornell University USA on a visit to Derry on the topic of Bloody Sunday with particular reference to the Report by Professor Sam Dash of Georgetown USA, 'Justice Denied,' published in 1972. Desmond Doherty represented Professor Dash at the Bloody Sunday Inquiry 1998 - 2010 in relation to his Report which was admitted into evidence.
